FULL-SERVICE GARMENT PRINTING FOR BRANDS, BUSINESSES & DESIGNERS

FS100 offers complete garment decoration services in Los Angeles — from single-piece DTG orders to 500+ piece screen print runs. Whether you're printing on custom-made garments from our cut & sew program or adding graphics to wholesale blanks from our private label catalog, we handle everything in-house with fast turnaround and meticulous quality control.

We don't outsource decoration. Our printing facility in Downtown LA is equipped with automatic screen printing presses, direct-to-garment printers, and heat press stations, so we control quality, timelines, and can offer rush service when you need it.

---

PRINTING METHODS: CHOOSING THE RIGHT PROCESS

Every decoration method has strengths and trade-offs. The right choice depends on your design complexity, garment type, order quantity, and budget. Here's how each method works and when to use it.

---

SCREEN PRINTING — Best for Larger Runs & Bold Graphics

How it works: Ink is pushed through a fine mesh screen onto the garment. Each color in your design requires a separate screen, and ink is applied one color at a time in layers.

When to use screen printing:

- Orders of 48+ pieces (becomes cost-effective once setup fees are amortized across the run)

- Bold, simple designs with 1-6 colors

- Designs that need vibrant, opaque color

- Long-lasting prints that hold up to heavy washing and wear

Ink types we offer:

PLASTISOL — The industry standard. Thick, vibrant, durable prints that sit on top of the fabric. Great for cotton and cotton blends. Achieves the brightest colors and best opacity on dark garments.

WATER-BASED — Ink soaks into the fabric rather than sitting on top, creating a soft-hand feel with no texture. Ideal for lightweight tees, fashion brands, and vintage aesthetics. Works best on light-colored garments.

DISCHARGE — Removes the dye from the fabric and replaces it with ink, resulting in an ultra-soft print that feels like part of the garment. Only works on 100% cotton garments that are dyed (not bleached white). Perfect for premium fashion brands.

SPECIALTY INKS: Puff ink (raised, 3D texture), metallic ink (shimmer finishes), glow-in-the-dark, high-density prints (thick, dimensional effects), cracking ink (distressed vintage look).

Minimums: 24 pieces for standard screen printing. 12 pieces possible for simple 1-2 color designs.

Turnaround: 7-10 business days standard. Rush production (3-5 days) available.

Best garments: Cotton tees, hoodies, sweatshirts, tote bags, cotton blends. Works on polyester but ink may not be as vibrant.

---

DIRECT-TO-GARMENT (DTG) PRINTING — Best for Photo-Realistic Designs & Small Batches

How it works: A specialized inkjet printer sprays water-based ink directly onto the garment, similar to how a paper printer works. No screens required, so there's no setup cost or color limit.

When to use DTG:

- No minimum orders — print 1 piece or 100

- Full-color designs, gradients, photos, complex graphics

- Testing new designs before committing to larger screen print runs

- Short-run custom orders, one-offs, personalized gifts

Strengths: Unlimited colors, photo-quality detail, soft-hand feel (ink soaks into fabric), no minimums, fast turnaround.

Limitations: Best on 100% cotton or high-cotton blends. Not ideal for polyester or performance fabrics. Prints may fade slightly faster than plastisol screen prints with heavy washing.

Minimums: None. Order as few as 1 piece.

Turnaround: 3-5 business days standard. Same-day or next-day available for rush orders (1-12 pieces).

Best garments: 100% cotton tees, hoodies, sweatshirts. Premium ring-spun fabrics produce the best results.

---

SUBLIMATION PRINTING — Best for Polyester & All-Over Prints

How it works: Dye is heat-transferred into polyester fabric at the molecular level, becoming part of the garment rather than sitting on top. Creates vibrant, permanent prints that never crack, peel, or fade.

When to use sublimation:

- Polyester garments, performance wear, activewear, sportswear

- All-over prints (full-garment graphics with no borders)

- Full-color designs with photographic detail

- Apparel that will be washed frequently or exposed to sun/chlorine (swimwear, athletic uniforms)

Strengths: Vibrant color, no hand feel (print is embedded in fabric), unlimited design complexity, won't crack or peel.

Limitations: Only works on polyester or poly-blend fabrics (65%+ polyester). Won't work on 100% cotton. White or light-colored garments only (sublimation dye is transparent and won't show on dark fabrics).

Minimums: depends on garment

Turnaround: 5-7 business days standard for printing.

Best garments: Polyester performance tees, athletic jerseys, leggings, sports bras, rash guards, polyester hoodies.

HEAT TRANSFER VINYL (HTV) — Best for Names, Numbers & Simple Graphics

How it works: Pre-cut vinyl film is heat-pressed onto the garment, bonding to the fabric surface. Great for individual customization (names, numbers, jersey lettering) and simple logos.

When to use HTV:

- Team jerseys, uniforms, and athletic apparel with names and numbers

- Simple text or logo designs (not complex multi-color graphics)

- Polyester and poly-blend garments where screen printing may not adhere well

- Rush orders needing same-day turnaround

Strengths: No minimums, fast production, works on polyester and performance fabrics, durable when applied correctly.

Limitations: Not ideal for complex designs or gradients. Limited color options. Visible texture (vinyl sits on top of fabric).

Minimums: None.

Turnaround: 1-3 business days. Same-day service available for simple designs.

Best garments: Athletic jerseys, performance wear, polyester tees, track suits, team uniforms.

DESIGN REQUIREMENTS & FILE SPECIFICATIONS

To ensure the best print quality, we need high-resolution artwork in the correct format.

File formats we accept:

- Vector files (preferred): AI, EPS, PDF (Adobe Illustrator or vector PDF)

- Raster files (acceptable if high-res): PNG, PSD, TIFF (minimum 300 DPI at actual print size)

For screen printing: Vector files are ideal. If you only have a raster file (PNG, JPG), it needs to be at least 300 DPI at the size you want it printed. We can recreate simple logos as vectors if needed.

For DTG: High-resolution PNG files with transparent backgrounds work best. Full-color photos should be 300 DPI or higher.

Color matching: We can match Pantone colors for screen printing. DTG and sublimation use CMYK color process, so exact Pantone matching isn't possible, but we get very close.

Don't have print-ready artwork? We offer design services — logo vectorization, file cleanup, and graphic layout. Design fees start at $35 depending on complexity.

PRICING STRUCTURE: WHAT AFFECTS COST

Printing costs depend on the decoration method, number of colors, print size, and order quantity. Here's how pricing typically breaks down:

Screen printing: Setup fee per design (covers screen creation) + per-piece print cost. The setup fee is one-time per design, so larger orders amortize that cost and lower the per-unit price. Typical range: $3-$8 per piece depending on garment, colors, and quantity.

DTG printing: No setup fee. Per-piece cost based on print size and color complexity. Typical range: $6-$12 per piece depending on design size and garment.

Sublimation: Setup fee + per-piece cost. Typical range: $8-$15 per piece depending on print coverage.

HTV: No setup fee. Per-piece cost based on design size and number of colors. Typical range: $3-$10 per piece.

Garment cost is separate. Printing fees cover decoration only. If you're providing your own garments, we print on those. If you need blanks, add wholesale garment cost — see our private label page for garment options and pricing.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What's the minimum order for screen printing?

48 pieces for most designs. Simple 1-2 color prints can sometimes be produced at 12-piece minimums. DTG and HTV have no minimums.

Can I provide my own garments to be printed?

Yes. If you have blanks you want decorated, send them to us and we'll print on them. We inspect all incoming garments for printability before starting production.

How do I know which printing method is best for my design?

Send us your artwork and tell us your order quantity, budget, and garment type. We'll recommend the best method and explain why. Most of the time, it's obvious — large orders get screen printing, small orders get DTG, polyester gets sublimation.

Do you print on dark garments?

Yes. Screen printing works great on dark garments using plastisol or discharge inks. DTG works on dark garments but requires a white underbase layer, which adds slight texture. Sublimation only works on white or light-colored polyester.

Can you print oversized or all-over designs?

Screen printing and DTG can handle large prints up to approximately 16" x 20" on the front or back of a garment. For true all-over prints (edge-to-edge, full garment coverage), sublimation is the only option and requires polyester fabric.

What if my artwork isn't print-ready?

We offer design cleanup and file preparation services. If you have a low-res logo or rough sketch, we can recreate it as a vector or optimize it for printing. Design fees start at $35 depending on complexity.

How do I submit an order?

[Get a quote] with your artwork, garment preferences, and quantity. We'll send back a detailed quote with pricing, mockups, and turnaround time. Once approved, we send a production-ready proof for final sign-off, then begin printing. You can also email us directly at: HQ@FULLSPEED100.COM

Do you offer sample prints before running the full order?

Yes. For first-time clients or complex designs, we can produce 1-2 sample prints for approval before running the full production. Sample fee applies and is credited back on orders of 24+ pieces.

Can you handle reorders?

Yes. Once we've printed your design, we save your artwork and screens for easy reordering. Many clients run seasonal reorders or restocks using the same setup.
